OneMerge is a web app built by MaJe Technologies that merges DOCX, PDF, TXT, PPTX, XLSX, CSV and image files like JPG and PNG into one universal PDF or DOCX file, right in the browser.
- Merge DOCX, PDF, TXT, PPTX, XLSX, CSV, JPG, PNG and more into one file
- Export the merged file as PDF or DOCX
- Set a document name for the final file
- Choose the merge order, for example by file size
- Upload list showing every file with its type and size
- Clean, simple interface that works on phones and computers
Challenge
People often end up with the same project spread across a Word file, a few PDFs, a spreadsheet, some slides and a handful of photos. Most merge tools only handle one format at a time, so putting it all into one clean document means converting each file by hand first.
Approach
MaJe Technologies designed and built OneMerge as a web app that takes almost any common file and turns the whole set into one document. You drop in DOCX, PDF, TXT, PPTX, XLSX, CSV and image files such as JPG and PNG, see them in an upload list with their type and size, then pick the merge settings: an optional document name, the output format (PDF or DOCX) and the merge order. The front end is built with React, TypeScript and Vite, styled with Tailwind CSS and shadcn-ui. A Node.js and Express backend does the heavy lifting, using pdf-lib for PDFs, mammoth for Word files, adm-zip for Office file contents and sharp for images, with nodemon and ts-node for development.
Outcome
OneMerge gives people one place to combine mixed files into a single, tidy PDF or DOCX in a few clicks, with a fast, secure and professional feel from upload to download.
